Norton Room

The Norton Suite once was the wine cellar in the Hermann Haus. The Hermann Haus was built for the first child born in Hermann after the town was settled in the 1830s, and was rebuilt in its current location overlooking the town of Hermann. In the mid-1800s, settlers in the area were incentivized to produce grapes, so many had their own wineries in their cellars. By staying in this room, you are staying in a winery that is over 170 years old.

The Norton Room features a gas fireplace, soaking tub, luxurious shower, and an amazing patio with incredible views of Hermann and the Missouri River.

Due to the history of the Hermann Haus, the amenities, and the views, the Norton Suite is one of our most popular rooms.

The luxury private bath has an oversize soaking tub and shower. Rumford style fireplaces welcome you in both bedchamber and bath.

The room has flagstone floors and a private covered stone terrace with Hillside views of the Village, the Missouri River, the Creek, Hermannhof Winery, the Tin Mill Brewery, and the Hofgarten. Access to high-speed Internet service, flat-screen cable TV, personal coffee service, and a mini-refrigerator provides added comfort.
